Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information SharpePrep collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored securely, never in plain text).
• Study data: your diagnostic results, answers, mastery and retention state, study activity, and mock-exam history. This is what powers your personalized plan.
• Payment information: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card details on our servers.
• Usage data: device, browser, and interaction analytics, used to improve the product.
• Content you submit: questions you ask the AI tutor, and any results you upload (for example a retaker score report, which we read and then discard without storing the image).

How we use your information

• To provide and personalize the Service, including your study plan and spaced-repetition schedule.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To send service emails (study reminders, trial and billing notices). You can opt out of non-essential emails.
• To improve our content and product, and to keep the Service secure.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run SharpePrep, under contract and only as needed, including:

• Supabase (authentication and database hosting).
• Stripe (payment processing).
• Anthropic (the AI tutor and result reading; your question and the relevant lesson text are sent to generate a response).
• Email and analytics providers that help us communicate and measure usage.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Data retention

We keep your account and study data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, after which we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records to comply with law (for example, payment records).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@sharpeprep.com.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
