Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SharpePrep (the "Service"), operated by SharpePrep ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use SharpePrep

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. One account is for one person; accounts may not be shared.

2. Your subscription and access

SharpePrep is offered on a paid subscription basis, with a free trial and limited free features as described at sign-up. Access tiers, what each includes, and current pricing are shown on our pricing page and are incorporated into these Terms. Billing, renewals, and cancellations are governed by our Payment Terms; refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Copy, scrape, resell, redistribute, or publicly post our questions, curriculum, videos, or other content.
• Share your account, or use the Service on behalf of anyone who is not a subscribed user.
• Reverse engineer, probe, or attempt to extract the underlying models, datasets, or source code.
• Use automated means to access the Service beyond normal personal study, or attempt to bypass rate limits or access controls.
• Submit unlawful, harmful, or infringing content, or misuse the AI tutor to generate such content.

4. Intellectual property

All content on the Service, including curriculum, questions, explanations, videos, and software, is owned by SharpePrep or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the content solely for your own exam preparation while your subscription is active.

5. AI features

The Service includes AI-generated explanations and an AI tutor. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and is provided for study support only. It is not professional advice. You are responsible for verifying important information against the official CFA Institute curriculum.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that using it will result in passing any exam. SharpePrep is independent and not affiliated with CFA Institute. 7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SharpePrep will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or exam outcomes. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us or other users. On termination, your right to access paid content ends; sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
